PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. – Two new Publix stores are set to open in Florida next month, according to the company’s website.
Both of these upcoming locations are situated in Palm Beach County along the state’s Gulf Coast, though they each bring different features to the table.

The first is planned for The Greens shopping center in Boca Raton, located at 19595 S. State Road 7.
According to Publix spokeswoman Lindsey Willis, the store will open on May 1, and it will span over 33,000 square feet — relatively small compared to a typical Publix store.
Meanwhile, the second upcoming Publix store is set to open in Palm Beach Gardens at Promenade Shopping Plaza, situated at 9900 Alternate A1A.
Similar to the Boca Raton location, this store will have a seating area downstairs for guests to sit and enjoy a Pub Sub, though it will also have a coffee machine where customers can buy a coffee to drink as they shop.
It will also be on the larger end of the Publix spectrum, spanning just under 55,000 square feet. The store is slated to open on May 8.
But these aren’t the only two Publix stores coming to Florida.
An even larger Publix store is underway for a master-planned community near Jacksonville.
While specific details about this store are mum, permits for the 55,701-square-foot store were approved at 1975 SilverLeaf Pkwy.
The permits value the upcoming property at over $13 million, with an adjacent Publix liquor store also in the works.
Meanwhile, a “prototype” Publix store is being planned much closer to Central Florida.
Again, no information has been shared about when exactly this store will open, though Publix spokeswoman Hannah Herring told News 6 it will come to Lakeland at 4730 S. Florida Ave.
The format of this store will mirror other prototype locations in Tampa and Wesley Chapel, giving customers much more selection as compared to an average Publix store.
“In this particular format, customers enjoy expanded offerings in the deli, like burrito bowls and a pizza oven,” she explained. “There is also a Pours area where customers can order smoothies and acai bowls or grab a drink and sip while they shop.”
